The ensemble is Texas A&M's first mixed choir, and is the university's second oldest choral group. The Century Singers perform regularly throughout the Bryan/College Station community and annually throughout the State of Texas. The choir is currently under direction of Mr. Thomas Gerber, and is accompanied by Ms. Jesse Novak.
The Singing Cadets holds auditions twice each school year, with membership open to any Texas A&M student. [20] The choir is one of three within Texas A&M; the others are the all-SSA Women's Chorus and the co-ed Century Singers. All three practice in the Music Activities Center (MAC). [20]

The West Texas A&M Buffaloes, also known as the WTAMU Buffaloes or WT Buffaloes, and formerly West Texas State Buffaloes and WTSU Buffaloes, are the athletic teams that represent West Texas A&M University, located in Canyon, Texas, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
The Permanent University Fund was established by the 1876 Constitution of the State of Texas. [2] Initially, its assets included one-tenth of University of Texas at Austin lands bordering the railroads (UT Austin was granted 1 million acres (4,000 km 2) in West Texas as compensation) as well as 1 million acres (4,000 km 2) additional.
