Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani (2 April 1940 – 18 May 2018) was an Indian Telugu language novelist. [1] She had a strong fan following since the 1970s and early 1980s, especially among women. [ 2 ] Several of her stories were made into films and television serials.
It is based on a novel by Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani, [1] and won three Filmfare Awards South. It was remade in Tamil as Thirumangalyam (1974), in Hindi in as Dil Aur Deewaar (1978), and in Kannada as Mangalya (1991).

Ruthuragalu is an Indian Telugu-language drama television series that aired on DD 8 (now DD Saptagiri) from 1997 to 2000, with a total of 582 episodes. Directed by Manjula Naidu and Sudhakar Pallamala, and produced by Manjula Naidu, [2] [3] the series was based on a story by Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani. [3]
