The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools (P-CCS) is a school district headquartered at E. J. McClendon Educational Center in Plymouth, Michigan. [1] The district's boundary includes areas in Wayne County and Washtenaw County, including City of Plymouth, Plymouth Township, and parts of Canton Township, Salem Township, Superior Township, and Northville Township.
The school colors are Blue, White & Silver and the school mascot is an Eagle. [4] Plymouth North opened under the name Plymouth High School, but changed its name to Plymouth-Carver Regional High School when Carver joined the district in 1963. With the opening of Carver High School in 1987, it was renamed Plymouth North High School. [5]

The original Plymouth High School was built in the early 20th century on the northwest corner of Main Street and Church Street, opposite from present-day City Hall in present-day downtown Plymouth, Michigan. The district deemed the facility to be outdated by the 1960s for high school use.
The school building was designed by Henry John Snell (1843–1924), who was responsible for a number of Plymouth's 19th century buildings. [1] It was officially opened by Sir George Kekewich on 27 April 1903. [1] The school had capacity for 512 infants, 480 girls and 430 boys. [1]
