The key date in the Morgan dollar series is the 1893-S Morgan dollar which was struck at the United States San Francisco Mint. With a mintage of 100,000 coins struck, it the lowest mintage of any Morgan Dollar. It is thought that few survived in mint state (MS) because the majority of the coins were in circulation.
