In computing, Close To Metal (CTM, originally Close-to-the-Metal) is the name of a beta version of a low-level programming interface developed by ATI, now the AMD Graphics Product Group, aimed at enabling GPGPU computing.

Note that ATI trademarks have been replaced by AMD trademarks starting with the Radeon HD 6000 series for desktop and AMD FirePro series for professional graphics. Codename – The internal engineering codename for the GPU. Launch – Date of release for the GPU.

The ATI Rage line powered almost the entire range of ATI graphics products. The RAGE LT PRO, based on the 3D RAGE PRO, was the very first mobile GPU to use AGP. It offered Filtered Ratiometric Expansion, which automatically adjusted images to full-screen size. ATI's ImpacTV2+ is integrated with the RAGE LT PRO chip to support multi-screen viewing; i.e., simultaneous outputs to TV, CRT and LCD.
