Fultonhistory.com (also known as Old Fulton New York Postcards) is an archival historic newspaper website of over 1,000 New York newspapers, along with collections from other states and Canada. As of February 2018, the website had almost 50 million scanned newspaper pages.
Fulton County was created on April 18, 1838, by a partition of Montgomery County, resulting in a county with an area of 550 square miles (1,400 km 2). [ 6 ] The old Tryon County courthouse, built in 1772, later the Montgomery County courthouse, became the Fulton County Courthouse , where it is New York's oldest operating courthouse.

The village is just east of New York State Route 30, connected to the highway by a bridge over the Sacandaga River, and is also served by County Roads 143, 149, and 153. Route 30 leads north 29 miles (47 km) to Speculator in the Adirondacks and Route 30 leads south to Route 30A , 24 miles (39 km) to the village of Fonda on the Mohawk River .
There is also a Town of Fulton in Schoharie County, and a Fulton County in New York. Fulton is a city in the western part of Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 11,389 as of the 2020 census. The city is named after Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. [2]
