The area was formerly the location of Kuala Lumpur's main market, before the British government completed what would become the Central Market in 1888 and 1889. The Old Market Square became and open area commonly used as a recreation area and commercial center in early Kuala Lumpur, but diminished in importance as the city grew outwards.
The Kuala Lumpur–Klang Highway FT2 was opened to traffic on 14 January 1959. [1] The highway was intended as a replacement of the existing road system known as Jalan Klang Lama, Persiaran Selangor, Jalan Sungai Rasau and Jalan Batu Tiga Lama, allowing speeds of up to 60 mph. [2] As a result, Jalan Klang Lama was downgraded into Selangor State Road B14. [3]
Go KL City Bus (styled as GOKL CityBus) is a free bus service in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Previously managed by Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) , the services were taken over by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) by 1 January 2019.
