Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona (Catalan: [rəˈjal ˈklub dəpuɾˈtiw əspəˈɲɔl də βəɾsəˈlonə]; "Royal Spanish Sports Club of Barcelona"), commonly known as RCD Espanyol, is a Spanish professional sports club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The club competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football.
The 2024–25 season is the 125th season in the history of RCD Espanyol. In addition to the domestic league, the team is scheduled to participate in the Copa del Rey.
Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona "B" is the reserve team of the RCD Espanyol, club based in Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. The team was founded in 1991 and plays in the Segunda Federación – Group 3, holding home matches at the 3,000-seat capacity Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque .
The 2023–24 season was RCD Espanyol's 123rd season in existence and first one back in the Segunda División, the second division of association football in Spain. They also competed in the Copa del Rey .
