The Levy Senior Center's award-winning building is located in the southeast corner of James Park. Members can participate in a wide variety of programs and classes, including computer training, health and wellness classes (ranging from low-impact aerobics to Pilates); and classes in the arts such as wood working, ceramics and drama.
The Levy Center is a recycling drop off site for batteries, light bulbs, cell phones, digital cameras, iPods, laptops, Wii, Xbox 360 game systems and holiday lights.
The yearly Levy Senior Center membership costs $50 for Evanston residents (zip codes 60201 and 60202) and $70 for non-residents. You must be 55 or older to join. If you are 90+ you pay nothing — your membership is covered by the Levy Senior Center Foundation through its Heaven Can Wait program.
