Lovefreekz is the alias of English electronic record producer Mark Hadfield. In 2004, his single "Shine", re-creating a sample of the Electric Light Orchestra's 1979 track "Shine a Little Love", [1] became an international club hit, reaching number 22 on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart in its 2 April 2005 issue during its four-week run.
Like the two 2006 shows from which it was culled, it features no songs from their 2005 album A Bigger Bang. The two-disc version features all but two of the songs played on the two nights; the missing numbers are "Undercover of the Night" (included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition and as a download on iTunes Store) and "Honky Tonk Women".
"Shine a Light" first entered the Stones' setlist during the 1995 leg of the Voodoo Lounge Tour, and live performances of the song from this period were included on the 1995 album Stripped and its 2016 edition Totally Stripped. The Stones played the song occasionally during their Bridges to Babylon Tour (1997–98) and A Bigger Bang Tour (2005
A free download was available for members of the band's new website, SuperCity. [2] The song received mostly positive reviews from pop music critics. On 3 November 2010, the song was added to BBC Radio 1's A-List. The song peaked the number 9 in UK Airplay Chart. McFly secured their fifteenth Top 5 hit with "Shine a Light" on the UK Singles Chart.
