CFJC-TV (analogue channel 4) is a television station in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, affiliated with Citytv.Owned by the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, the station has studios on Pemberton Terrace and Columbia Street West in Kamloops, and its transmitter is located near Southern Yellowhead Highway/Highway 5, southeast of Kamloops Airport.
Pattison converted CFJC to its current FM frequency, adult contemporary format and call sign in 2001. [1] By December 2010 , the station switched formats to hot adult contemporary , dropping most classic hits from the playlist, and going head-to-head up against rock -leaning CHR/Top 40 station CKRV-FM (which had been hot AC up until 2010).
CBYK-FM produces its own local morning show, Daybreak Kamloops, which began October 9, 2012, hosted by veteran broadcaster Shelley Joyce. [5] The station continues to carry CBTK-FM's local afternoon show, Radio West with Sarah Penton, which airs across the whole interior of British Columbia. [9]
