Agassiz Recreational Trail is a 53-mile (85 km), multi-use rail trail in northwest Minnesota, United States, between the towns of Crookston and Ulen. Hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ATV riding are allowed on the natural-surface trail. [2] The trail is owned by Clay, Norman and Polk counties.
The park contains 22 miles (35 km) of hiking trails, 12 miles (19 km) of ski trails, and access to the Superior Hiking Trail. Tettegouche is bordered to the north by the Finland State Forest and shares the Red Dot motorized trail with it. The trail is for use by all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles and is the only ATV trail in a state park.
Trails include cross-country skiing trails, 20 miles (32 km) of equestrian trails, 5 miles (8.0 km) of mountain biking trails, 16 miles (26 km) of both Class I All-terrain vehicle (ATV) and Class II ATV trails, 16 miles (26 km) of off-highway motorcycling trails, as well as 20 miles (32 km) snowmobiling trails. The trail is named after Willard Munger, a Minnesota state legislator who devoted his legislative career to trail development and environmental protection from 1954 until his death in 1999.
