Airplane Repo is an American documentary-style fiction show following repossession agents hired by financial institutions to recover aircraft and occasionally other high-value assets from owners who have fallen behind on their payments.
In 2010, the aircraft was repossessed by the Bank of Utah Trustee and in 2019 sold to Meridican Inc, an international consulting firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The aircraft was to receive a cockpit upgrade for international operations in 2018.
Various objects can be repossessed, including boats and aircraft, but most repossession agencies focus on car repossession. The repo agent normally uses a tow truck or pickup truck with a special towing attachment called a boom. They also may obtain the key from the car owner. Usually, the vehicle owner must be notified of a repossession.
The trust then leases the aircraft to an airline, and the trustee routes payments through the trust to the investors. Upon maturity of the note, the airline receives title to the aircraft. [1] See Pass-through certificate. The lease is not a "true" lease because the airline receives title at the end.
The Trump Organization's Boeing 757, nicknamed Trump Force One after the U.S. presidential plane, Air Force One, is an aircraft owned and operated by Donald Trump. The nickname gained use during Trump's presidential campaign of 2016. [1] [2] [3] Trump's Boeing 727 aircraft, the predecessor of Trump Force One.
These aircraft may be confiscated and repossessed upon landing in any airport outside of Russia. [ 187 ] Aeroflot gradually resumed international flights to "friendly" countries: to Kyrgyzstan from 14 March, Azerbaijan on 21 March, Armenia from 22 March, Iran from 2 April, Sri Lanka from 8 April, [ 188 ] and Turkey and India from 6 May. Aircraft finance refers to financing for the purchase and operation of aircraft. Complex aircraft finance (such as those schemes employed by airlines ) shares many characteristics with maritime finance , and to a lesser extent with project finance .
The aircraft was seized by creditors at Melbourne Airport on 18 December 2005. [15] Following the acquisition of a replacement aircraft (a Boeing 737-300) in mid-2006, the airline was rebranded as Our Airline and relaunched on 14 October 2006. [1] Our Airline was renamed Nauru Airlines on 1 August 2014. [citation needed]
