Bonner County is a county in the northern part of the U.S. state of Idaho. As of the 2020 census , the population was 47,110. [ 1 ] The county seat and largest city is Sandpoint . [ 2 ]
It crosses into eastern Bonner County in north Idaho between the towns of Heron, Montana and the town of Cabinet, Idaho. In Idaho, just before the town of Cabinet, the Clark Fork River is dammed again at the Cabinet Gorge Dam. The Cabinet Gorge Dam was completed in the early 1950s, and its reservoir extends eastwards into Montana.
Round Lake State Park is a public recreation area located four miles (6.4 km) southwest of Sagle in Bonner County, Idaho. The 142-acre (57 ha) state park surrounds 55-acre (22 ha) Round Lake. [3] The lake was formed from glacial activity in the Pleistocene. [4]
