Mount Daisen (大山, Daisen) is a dormant stratovolcano in Tottori Prefecture, Japan.It has an elevation of 1,729 metres. This mountain is the highest in the Chūgoku region, and the most important volcano on the Daisen volcanic belt, which is a part of the Southwestern Honshu volcanic arc, where the Philippine Sea Plate is subducting under the Amurian Plate.

Based on studies on Taal, it is believed that an ancient Taal Cone was formed by buildup of large volume dacitic pyroclastic materials more than 140,000 years ago. Several major catastrophic eruptions probably between 27,000 and 5,000 years ago destroyed this greater Taal Cone and ultimately formed the 25-by-30-kilometre (16 mi × 19 mi) wide depression now known as Taal Caldera.
Mount Sembrano is considered sacred by some people and known for the legend of the miraculous discovery of the icon of Our Lady of Maulawin. In 1909, a group of loggers climbed Mt. Sembrano to cut logs. Felipe Reyno was the one who cut a maulawin tree. The five logs were sold in Santa Cruz, Laguna.
