John Welty (born c. 1954) is an American form college football coach. He was the head football coach for Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, from 1999 to 2023. [1] [2] He also was the head football coach for Illinois Benedictine College—now known as Benedictine University—from 1990 to 1997.

Scott Pingel (born May 9, 1977) is an American former professional football wide receiver who holds multiple NCAA receiving records. He played college football at Westminster College. Pingel is the first player in NCAA history to accumulate over 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. Pingel is only one of two individuals to accomplish this feat.

He served as the head football coach at the Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania from 1991 to 1998, compiling and record of 64–25–2 and winning the NAIA Division II Football National Championship in 1994.
