Brother Sun, Sister Moon (Italian: Fratello sole, sorella luna) is a 1972 historical drama film based on the hagiography of Saint Francis of Assisi.It is directed by Franco Zeffirelli from a screenplay he co-wrote with Suso Cecchi d'Amico, Lina Wertmüller and Kenneth Ross.
The younger sister became the Sun and the older brother became the Moon. An eclipse occurs when the older brother catches up with his younger sister. This myth, which talks about the origin of the Sun and Moon and even the origin of the solar eclipse, presents the issue of incest as a key motive for the origin of the Sun and Moon.
In the early 1970s, Donovan agreed to write and record songs for the English version of Franco Zeffirelli's Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972). The accompanying soundtrack album included none of Donovan's original recordings, as only the Italian version was released, with vocals by Claudio Baglioni and score by Riz Ortolani. [1]

Graham Faulkner (born 26 September 1947 in London, UK) is a former British actor.. His first and best known role was as Francis of Assisi in Franco Zeffirelli's Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972).
After two successful film adaptations of Shakespeare, Zeffirelli went on to religious themes, first with a film about the life of St. Francis of Assisi titled Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972), then his extended mini-series Jesus of Nazareth (1977) with an all-star cast. The latter was a major success in the ratings.
He released his early demo tapes, Sixty Four, and a re-recording of the Brother Sun, Sister Moon soundtrack on iTunes. A set of his Mickie Most albums was released on 9 May 2005. This EMI set has extra tracks including another song recorded with the Jeff Beck Group. In 2005, his autobiography The Hurdy Gurdy Man was published.
