Howrah railway division is one of the four railway divisions under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. [1] This railway division was formed on 1854 and its headquarters is located at Howrah in West Bengal, India. [2] It covers the area more than 400 km which includes parts of Bihar and Jharkhand also. [3]
Till 30 September 2002 ER consisted seven divisions.
