Leonid Slutsky is the political curator of Șor Party. In 2024 Pro-Russian politicians from Moldova visited Russia: fugitive oligarch Ilan Șor, representatives of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, socialist leader himself, ex-president Igor Dodon, two politicians of the Revival Party party, close to fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor.
The 2024 presidential campaign of Leonid Slutsky, deputy of the State Duma and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, was announced on 19 December 2023, during the party's congress. Slutsky became the third person in history nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party for the President of Russia.
Leonid Viktorovich Slutsky (Russian: Леони́д Ви́кторович Слу́цкий [ˈsɫut͡skʲɪj]; born 4 May 1971) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player who is the manager of Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.

The New People party was created in 2020 by Russian businessman Alexey Nechayev.In 2021, the party participated in the legislative election election for the first time and was able to gain 5.3% of the vote, gaining 13 seats in the State Duma.
