Jacobsen Manufacturing is a former U.S. lawn mower and light-duty tractor manufacturer, in operation there from the early 1920s until around 2020. It was located in Racine, Wisconsin, from 1921 to 2001, when It moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.
The company developed their products to serve the needs of government entities, lawn care professionals and land owners. Grasshopper was the first manufacturer to offer dual swing-out levers for their zero-turn mowers (1973) [2] and the first to offer a diesel-powered zero-turn mower (1983). [3]
