Function epilogue reverses the actions of the function prologue and returns control to the calling function. It typically does the following actions (this procedure may differ from one architecture to another): Drop the stack pointer to the current base pointer, so room reserved in the prologue for local variables is freed.
Inline vs. prologue – an inline comment follows code on the same line and a prologue comment precedes program code to which it pertains; line or block comments can be used as either inline or prologue
The calling code does nothing but list the subroutines to be called. This puts all the function setup and clean-up code in one place—the prologue and epilogue of the function—rather than in the many places that function is called. This makes threaded code the most compact calling convention. Threaded code passes all arguments on the stack.
A function definition starts with the name of the type of value that it returns or void to indicate that it does not return a value. This is followed by the function name, formal arguments in parentheses, and body lines in braces. In C++, a function declared in a class (as non-static) is called a member function or method.
MATLAB (an abbreviation of "MATrix LABoratory" [22]) is a proprietary multi-paradigm programming language and numeric computing environment developed by MathWorks.MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages.
Core math functions include BLAS, LAPACK, ScaLAPACK, sparse solvers, fast Fourier transforms, and vector math. Intel IPP is a multi-threaded software library of functions for multimedia and data processing applications. OpenBLAS is an open source implementation of the BLAS API with many hand-crafted optimizations for specific processor types ...
In computer science, a programming language is said to have first-class functions if it treats functions as first-class citizens. This means the language supports passing functions as arguments to other functions, returning them as the values from other functions, and assigning them to variables or storing them in data structures. The Robotics Toolbox for Python is a reimplementation of the Robotics Toolbox for MATLAB for Python 3. [ 7 ] [ 8 ] Its functionality is a superset of the Robotics Toolbox for MATLAB, the programming model is similar, and it supports additional methods to define a serial link manipulator including URDF and elementary transform sequences.
