Oud-Heverlee Leuven (Flemish pronunciation: [ʌut ˈɦeːvərˌleː ˈløːvə(n)]), also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian professional football club from the city of Leuven. It was created in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee , whose registration number it inherited, Daring Club Leuven , and Stade Leuven .
The OHL originated in Mississauga with the Mississauga IceDogs. The IceDogs played in Mississauga from 1998 to 2007 before being purchased by Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk in 2006. Following the 2006–2007 season, Melnyk sold the Icedogs who moved to St. Catharines to become the Niagara IceDogs .

In 1974 the Tier I/Major Junior A group separated from the OHA and became the independent Ontario Major Junior Hockey League (OMJHL). In 1980, the OMJHL became the Ontario Hockey League. The OHL split from the OHA in July 1982. [2] The OHA and OHL disagreed on financial terms of affiliation, then the OHL decided to handle its own administration.
