Cai Qiao or Chiao Tsai [1] (simplified Chinese: 蔡翘; traditional Chinese: 蔡翹; pinyin: Cài Qiào; Wade–Giles: Ts'ai Ch'iao; 11 October 1897 - 29 July 1990) was a Chinese physiologist and physician. Cai is famous for his discovery in the 1920s of the ventral tegmental area, which is also known as the ventral tegmental area of Tsai. [2]
