Joan Banks (October 30, 1918 – January 18, 1998) was an American film, television, stage, and radio actress (described as "a soapbox queen"), [1] who often appeared in dramas with her husband, Frank Lovejoy.
In 1940, Lovejoy married actress Joan Banks, with whom he had daughter Judith and son Stephen. On October 2, 1962, Lovejoy died of a heart attack in his sleep at the Warwick Hotel in New York City. [8] He and Banks at the time had been performing together in a New Jersey production of Gore Vidal's play The Best Man. [9]
