The Ravalli County Courthouse, at 225 Bedford St. in Hamilton, Montana, was built in 1900. It includes Classical Revival and Romanesque architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. [1] It was funded by a $20,000 bond issue and built on land donated by the Anaconda Copper Mining Company.

Cases from the District of Montana are appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act , which are appealed to the Federal Circuit ).

Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge is a 2,800-acre (1,100 ha) National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) along the Bitterroot River in southwestern Montana, U.S. [2] [3] Established in 1964 as Ravalli NWR, it was renamed in 1978 in honor of the late Senator Lee Metcalf, a native of Montana.
