R-Kive is a CD box set by English veteran progressive rock band Genesis.It was released on 22 September 2014 in the UK, and on 29 September 2014 in the U.S. [1]. It consists of three CDs that span Genesis' career in chronological order.
Genesis were formed by lead singer Peter Gabriel, keyboardist Tony Banks, bassist / guitarist Mike Rutherford, guitarist Anthony Phillips and drummer Chris Stewart at the Charterhouse School, where they drew on contemporary pop, soul, classical and church music influences to write their own songs. Collins has called it his "favourite Genesis song", and bassist and guitarist Mike Rutherford has called it "a wonderful song: upbeat, fun to play, always a strong moment in any gig."
Though not released as a single, a music video of the song exists. [3] It was produced by Paul Flattery and directed by Jim Yukich (of FYI – Flattery Yukich, Inc.) and features British comic Benny Hill (in his "Fred Scuttle" characterization) as a bumbling security guard whom many fans sneak past to get backstage while the band rehearses.
"Not About Us" is the third and final single from Genesis' 15th album Calling All Stations. It reached No. 66 in UK [ 1 ] and No. 81 in Germany. [ 2 ] It was the last single to feature vocalist Ray Wilson .
