Copake is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States.The population was 3,346 at the 2020 US census, [2] down from 3,615 at the 2010 census. [3] The town derives its name from a lake, which was known to the natives as Cook-pake, or Ack-kook-peek, [4] meaning "Snake Pond".
As of the census [5] of 2010, there were 23,429 people and 6,942 households, with 3.33 persons per household. The population density was 7,144.3 inhabitants per square mile (2,758.4/km 2).
Both the Pan American and Parapan American Games were organized by the Guadalajara 2011 Organizing Committee (COPAG). The 2011 Pan American Games were the third Pan American Games hosted by Mexico (the first country to do so) and the first held in the state of Jalisco.
