Cpl. Elijah R. Lanier. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — Cpl. Elijah R. Lanier, 22, of Camp Pendleton, California, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024. He was born Feb. 15, 2002, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the son of Ricky Nelson Lanier and Karen Darlene (Gwynn) Gerber.
Orville VanWinkle, 79, of Chanute passed away at his home on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024. Services are pending and are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 500 North Forest Ave., Chanute.
Frank Eugene Tichenor, born on April 18, 1948, in Chanute, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, in St. Augustine, Florida. He was a devoted husband to Cindy Ann Tichenor and a loving father to his son, Chris Tichenor, and daughter-in-law, May Tichenor.

Joanne M. Baranske, died early Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at her home in Stark. She was 81. She was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Waukegan, Ill., to Theodore Hanlon and Laverne (Salo) Hanlon. She was their only daughter. She had three brothers, Ted, Chuck, and Jimmy, her twin. Joanne spent her childhood in Waukegan.
