The Opel Diplomat is a luxury car manufactured by Opel from 1964 to 1977. Opel's top-ranging models were traditionally the Admiral and Kapitän , introduced in 1938 and 1937 respectively. In 1964 these models were joined, in the so-called " KAD " (Kapitän, Admiral, Diplomat) range, by the new Opel Diplomat.
The Opel Super 6 is an executive car which was built by the German car manufacturer Opel between 1937 and late 1938. The car was equipped with a 2.5-litre straight-six engine and had a top speed of 115 km/h (71 mph). The Opel Moonlight roadster was the first Opel vehicle with a straight-6. It used a 1.8 L (1,790 cc) six in 1933. It was a 12-valve engine with a very-undersquare 65 mm × 90 mm (2.56 in × 3.54 in) bore and stroke, typical for the time. This engine produced 33.5 PS (33.0 hp; 24.6 kW) and 100 N⋅m (74 lb⋅ft).
