TVE Internacional is a Spanish satellite free-to-air and pay television channel owned and operated by Televisión Española (TVE), the television division of state-owned public broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE).
RTVE Play is an over-the-top video on demand streaming service owned and operated by RTVE which replaced the latter's old streaming portal 'alacarta' in June 2021. Besides the programming in the linear stations of TVE and RNE and the content from Playz, the platform distributes a number of exclusive original shows as well it releases pre-screenings of the linear airings.
In late 2020, RTVE announced its intention to merge its A la carta service together with the embedded Playz streaming platform specifically dedicated to a young audience. [1] The new service replacing alacarta in Spain was created on 22 June 2021 under the name 'RTVE Play'; the launch included the release of the beta app for smartphone and tablet .
TVE Internacional, 24 Horas Internacional, and Clan Internacional are available abroad via satellite. Star TVE HD is a pay television channel only available in HDTV in multichannel television providers in the Americas. Channels are also available on streaming, and its content on demand, on the RTVE Play online platform.
