Kampot (Khmer: កំពត, lit. ' The Kampot's Fish ') is a province in southwestern Cambodia.It borders the provinces of Koh Kong and Kampong Speu to the north, Takéo to the east, Kep and the country of Vietnam (Kiên Giang) or Kampuchea Krom (kramuon Sor) to the south, and Sihanoukville to the west.

Kampot (Khmer: ក្រុងកំពត) is a city in southern Cambodia and the capital of Kampot Province. It is situated on the Praek Tuek Chhu River, southeast of the Elephant Mountains , and around 5 km (3 mi) from the Gulf of Thailand .
The complex is located about 11 miles (18 km) east of Kampot. It is accessed via a dirt road which veers from the NH33; signage refers to the site as the Phnom Sorsia Resort. [3] Phnom Sorsia, Phnom Chhnork, Kep, and Bokor National Park make up a popular day trip of the Kampot Province. [4] The forest-covered hill has several limestone caves.
Dang Tung District, Kampot Province is a relatively new district that was created with pieces of Kampong Trach District and Chouk District in 1986. The district center is in Toom T'mai Village, where a local famous temple and a large market can also be found.
Forest types in the park include dipterocarp, deciduous, tropical evergreen and mangrove forests. Burretiodendron hsienmu, a threatened species, is also found in the park.A study by the University of Maryland found that the park had lost about 9% of primary forest between 2001 and 2019, with deforestation continuing in 2020 and 2021.
