Tournament of Champions is an American reality cooking competition series broadcast by Food Network. Created and hosted by Guy Fieri , the series features alumni of other Food Network competition series competing in a single-elimination tournament for a grand prize.
11 bakers enter the kitchen to compete for the $25,000 prize, a chance to be featured in Food Network Magazine, and the title of Spring Baking Champion. This season, bakers are ranked on "The Spring Board" after each pre-heat and main heat. The lowest ranking baker on the board after each main heat is eliminated.
The competitions are judged by specialists in their culinary fields, dependent upon the particular 'challenge'. Contestants are given eight hours to complete a task and must adhere to the competition rules; for example, edible art cake competitions often require that a cake reaches a minimum height, exhibits a certain theme, and is able to be moved to a judging table without falling over.
