The Joyce Theatre Foundation is a leading presenter of dance in New York City and nationally. It is runs, in part, from the Joyce Theater , a 472-seat dance performance venue located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City .
Later, Feld joined American Ballet Theatre, leaving at age 25 to form his own company. In the early 1980s, with Cora Cahan, Feld founded the Joyce Theater as a home for the Feld Ballet. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet (ASFB) made its New York City debut at The Joyce Theater in 2003 and has notably performed at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
