    Depends. If you're looking for a world or region map, ^ what that person said. If you want something for building dungeon maps, local battle maps, etc, I recommend Dungeon Painter by Pyromancers. I use the paid version hosted on Steam, Dungeon Painter Studio ($14.99), but the free version is pretty good as is.

    My MapForge software can handle all three. It's not for mapping whole continents or globes, however. Me! I am your tool. Commision me for a full-scale earth-size map for only 50 bucks. Just provide a wireframe of all symbols, locations, etc, and I'll bring it to life. It's 100% original, with no map-making software.
