Hello to whoever is reading I hope this treats you well and gives you some information! 💌 I am currently 18 and few months back I was notified that it was time to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I did NOTHING different in advance to “prepare” to have them removed besides get items I would need for afterwards and tidy my room.
I’m on day 5 after having all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. I was eating Mac and cheese on day 3. My surgeon said I could eat soft foods starting 24 hours after surgery. He said anything I can mash with a fork. Nothing spicy, crunchy, or grainy. Some examples he gave were beans, pasta, ground meat, and tender vegetables.

I also got a dry socket around 4 days after removal. Got the sockets packed twice. Really hoping these go away because they are debilitating…. After 24 hours, you can gently brush the front of your mouth/molars with toothpaste, do not brush too far back/on the extraction sites (you can brush extraction site area after a week.) NO MOITHWASH. Make sure to keep up on oral hygiene because less bacteria in your mouth = quicker healing time.
I can open my jaw and eat on it still, but the pain appeared out of nowhere and I’m worried it could be an abscess or something bad. I don’t have other symptoms of an abscess as far as I know. I am definitely craving a good bruger and fires, guac and chips, a pizza with every topping, chicken soup with cous cous, fried chicken with plantain chips, fried shrimp. Can't wait!
Sorta like how after you break a bone, as the bone heals more and more you start testing it out shortly before it’s fully done healing. As you eat you’ll become more and more comfortable with solid foods. If anything, try eating really soft food at first.
