IIRC, the basic First 27 sells for over 150k, possibly with sails. Suppose the 27's sails cost $10k wholesale, that's still a $30k difference. Either that number is wrong, or someone figured out how to make Manuard's designs work with Beneteau's lower cost manufacturing capabilities. $110k is also $20-30k more than a nice two decade old J/105.
