More teams/workspaces than Notion: The regular plan offers more flexibility for managing multiple projects than Notion. This is why I originally looked at Notion alternatives in the first place when they changed the subscription rates. Live editing + collaboration: Super useful if you want to collaborate on documents in real-time. It’s closer ...
App version uses minimal RAM, but is slower. Chrome version will consume all of the RAM on your system until it crashes, if you don't close the tab once in awhile. Hello ! I have been using Notion via my Chrome browser for several months. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using the application for….
I do use Notion for some things. What I like about it is that you can build your own productivity system to your liking in it. Here is my video on task management using Notion. I use Notion for my VA agency. But for my personal use, I use a minimalist task management system called ZenKit ToDo. 1.
For those who come across the same problem to this day, try resetting your Notion desktop app by: Closing your current Notion session. Within Windows file explorer, enter C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming into the navigation bar. Delete the 'Notion' folder. Re-open Notion.

If it is mostly writing related tasks, have a look at Obsidian. It is similar to Roam Research and works offline. I use Bear and the fact that Notion doesn’t have offline support is stopping me from migrating over completely. I hate the name but TiddlyWiki is the stable and infinitely customizable alternative to Roam Research.
leminhnguyenai. ADMIN MOD. Notion on web is 10 times better than the desktop version. Request/Bug. I really like Notion and it is probably one of the best note taking/ life management app I have ever used. But there is a problem, the desktop version (on MacOS) is poorly built. The app is laggy and choppy, which not super annoying, but still is ...
The desktop app is just a wrapper for the website, it's not a native app. The only benefits are: it does do some caching (not enough for true offline mode, but more than what you get in the browser). you can replace https:// in links with notion:// to open pages directly in the app. you can use the notion-enhancer, a customiser for the app that ...
