Keep in mind that both systems (kbb and NADA) use a average market depreciation model. It's a formula that does not take into effect actual market conditions or availability. For example, I sold a pre-emissions diesel pickup for twice NADA because the formula only accounted for initial cost, age, mileage, and condition.

  5. R3 vs Ninja 400. I have decided that I want to get a motorcycle. And have decided between a Ninja 400 or an Yamaha YZF R3 and planning to buy from a private seller on facebook marketplace. I have found 2 bikes, a 2016 YZF R3 with 10k KM, for $5.2k NZD or a 2019 Ninja 400 with 14k km for $6.2k NZD. Both owners saying that it was treated well ...

NADA values always seem low for my city, even after inputting my zip code. I paid almost exactly the "average retail" for my EX500, (1190, I paid 1200) and thought I was getting a great deal (hard to find running bikes for less than 1500, even old crappy ones).

So, I was looking at a 2006 GSXR 600. Trade-in Value Estimates $3,290 USD. Typical Listing Price Estimated $4,785. If I'm listing my motorcycle to sell, I would list it around the 'Typical Listing Price' (obv condition of it and everything places a factor) I saw a 06 GSXR 600; seller is asking around 4600.

  9. KBB for Motorcycles? : r/motorcycles - Reddit

Nada and KBB valued my KLX at $700. I've never seen a KLX/DRZ go for less than $3,000 around here. For private party, using KBB, I just start with the PP price being halfway between the trade-in and the dealer prices. Then adjust up or down based on wear, cosmetics, etc.

This is key, depending on market. Where I'm at, a new bike with MSRP of $10k will easily be $12k+ out the door. Continuing that example, I'd say that 1 or 2 year old bike with low miles, excellent condition priced something like $9.5 is quite reasonable. $500 below MSRP, but >$2500 below actual OTD cost. Craigslist. A working motorcycle CycleTrader. 16. Reply. SailorScoutDrew. • 2 yr. ago. It depends if you’re open to dealerships or private party. I’ve had good luck with Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for used bikes, the only problem is you have to act fast if it’s truly a “good deal” you may even want to set up alerts to ...
