I called both Copart and AutoBidMaster to get more confirmation and both said I would have no problems getting titles for the cars even purchased in TX. If not for those answers my journey would have stopped right there. I decided to use AutoBidMaster (ABM) and began to research their process. I decided to sign up for their $199 membership ...

Copart sells to car dealers, dismantlers, auto body shops etc. Yes they technically do sell to private individuals but its not really meant for that. You end up having to hire a broker to put a bid on a car and then like in your case the broker fees basically double the cost of the car.

How reliable is copart.com? So this is an auction website that sells cars but most of them are practically destroyed BUT, there are some cars that are donated and look very nice. I've seen 2010 BMWs go for less than 6k and even a couple 2015 cars go for less then 10k. But I'm worried they aren't reliable and a lot of the cars have some serious ...

  6. Is it worth buying a clean title car for cheap from copart?

With Copart.. if you have to ask the question then the answer is no. Copart is for people who know exactly what they are looking at and can evaluate a car like this without guessing. I’d say this is a 90-10 gamble.. 90% chance you’re buying a car that has logged its last mile.

  7. How do Copart Auctions work? Anyone ever score a great deal?

Depending upon how well you bid, you could win the car solely on that high bid, or you could be outbid during the live auction and it go much higher. The amount of bids during the live auction really depends upon the pre-bids and how in demand the car is. Sometimes cars will sell with no bids a the live auction, sometimes there'll be 30 or 40 ...

A salvage title Trax will be completely worthless. Reply reply. mfwl. •. Chevy trax isn't worth anything, even if you don't get it from Copart. One of the worst vehicles made in recent times. If you were actually capable of fixing the car properly, you'd already know this. Don't buy salvage cars, you don't know what you're doing.

It looks like the most established brokers who partner with Copart are Auto Bid Master, Salvage Reseller, and A Better Bid. Does any have experience with two or more of them to help us decide who to use? I used auto bid master. They were expensive, but everything worked as intended. Make sure you need to use a broker first.

Buyers fee was like $299, and then there were like 2 or 3 other fees on top of it in the end it was like $1200. There's just the flat fee for registration. There no percentage of value. However, registration and shipping is all on you. Dont you have to have a broker.

Buying a car on Copart isn’t trivial. You need to contact one of their third-party brokers to purchase the car. Also all of the cars on Copart are going to have some sort of branded title (salvage or rebuilt) So a bank won’t issue you a loan on one. Lastly just because the car looks good and runs and drives doesn’t mean it’s safe If the ...
