I set up an LDS account for each of my kids today so that hopefully I can pay them their tithing in cash, but then deposit it into our checking account and then pay online. We always have the hardest time remembering to bring those envelopes to church. But when I'm logged into my 8-yr old's account it won't let me access the donations tab ...

Then make it the default account by clicking the "Make this my default" option. Then delete the old bank account by clicking the trashcan icon in the upper right of the account box.
by russellhltn » Sun Dec 01, 2019 5:28 pm. That's one way. Another is to go to the main page at churchofjesuschrist.org, go to "my account and ward". If you're on a big screen, it will be in the upper right. On a small screen, you have to touch the "three bar" icon on the left. From there, select "donations".

Other than that, online donations is not available outside of the United States at this time. It may be possible for you to use some form of bank bill pay system. You would have to check with your area office to determine if that is available in your area. Even if there is not a way to electronically transfer the funds directly to the Church ...
For larger screens (like laptops): Church main page, click on the waffle iron icon in the upper right, select "Donations". For small screens (like phones): Church main page, click on the three lines in the upper left corner, select "Resources" (with the same waffle iron icon), select "Donations". Have you searched the Help Center?

I live in a very economically depressed area, and have feared that my higher than average income could be a "stumbling block" for certain members. I would never want that to happen. My wife and I have sent our tithing directly to Salt Lake HQ for the last 17 years.
There are several reasons why it does not make sense to pull out cash to pay tithing here, including lots of fees incurred by ATMs, which only allow you to pull out up to $400 in each transaction, and the potential issue of paying significant amounts of cash to bishopric members who may not be used to that and who might find themselves tempted.
