Evelyn Quan Wang is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 2022 absurdist comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once.Portrayed by Michelle Yeoh and created by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, [a] Evelyn is a Chinese-American immigrant and laundromat owner.
She entered the Hong Kong film industry after completing secondary school in the 1987 Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant. She was one of the leading actresses in the late 1980s and early 1990s, next to Maggie Cheung, Brigitte Lin and Cheung Man. She was cast in a series of Category III films, the most notable being Naked Killer (1992).
