Located within the Algoma District, the highway extends for 76.5 kilometres (47.5 mi) from a junction with Highway 17 at Iron Bridge to Mount Lake, 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) northeast of a junction with Highway 639 north of Elliot Lake.
