The Clinton Downtown Historic District is a historic district located in the village of Clinton in Clinton Township in the northernmost portion of Lenawee County, Michigan. It consists of most of the 100 block of U.S. Route 12 , known locally as West Michigan Avenue, plus Memorial Park at 200 West Michigan.
Owens taught at Wesley College in Greenville, Texas, Mississippi State College in Starkville and Texas A&M College in College Station, Texas. He taught at Columbia University from 1945 to 1974. He is the father of author and professor Jessie Ann Owens.

Williams Lake is a 155-acre (63 ha) all-sports lake in Waterford Township in Oakland County, Michigan in the Clinton River watershed. [2] The lake lies north of the Oakland County International Airport, to the west of Airport Road, and to the south and east of Williams Lake Road. Williams Lake connects upstream to Maceday Lake. According to the United States Census Bureau, Clinton Township has a total area of 28.37 square miles (73.5 km 2), of which 28.03 square miles (72.6 km 2) are land and 0.35 square miles (0.91 km 2), or 1.22%, are water. [1] The Clinton River, for which the community is named, is formed from three branches within the township. [7]
