As of the 2020 census the borough population was 843, [3] down from 997 in 2010, [4] the second-least populated borough in Alaska. The borough seat is Naknek. [5] There are no incorporated settlements. Incorporated in 1962, Bristol Bay was the first of Alaska's boroughs.
