Ostrava (Czech pronunciation: ⓘ; Polish: Ostrawa; German: Ostrau) is a city in the north-east of the Czech Republic and the capital of the Moravian-Silesian Region.It has about 280,000 inhabitants.
In 2007, a new train stop called Ostrava centrum opened close to the end of the street. [1] Since 2008, the train stop has been called Ostrava-Stodolní [2] and it is supposed to make travelling to the city centre significantly easier. The street is a part of locality, which is supposed to become a new cultural quarter in the city.
The area is registered in the list of European cultural heritage, [3] and was placed on the Czech Republic's list of tentative UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2001 under the name The Industrial Complexes at Ostrava.
