The Family and her Father Adam Valentin Volkmar lived in Rinteln from 1917 on. Friedrich and Sophie moved to Hamburg, where he opened a new workshop of his own.
The Clavinet is an electric clavichord invented by Ernst Zacharias and manufactured by the Hohner company of Trossingen, West Germany, from 1964 to 1982.The instrument produces sounds with rubber pads, each matching one of the keys and responding to a keystroke by striking a given point on a tensioned string, and was designed to resemble the Renaissance-era clavichord.
Hohne is a municipality in the state of Lower Saxony in Germany, east of the county town of Celle. It includes the three former parishes of Hohne, Helmerkamp and Spechtshorn . It should not be confused with the British Army camp of Hohne (German: Lager Bergen-Hohne ) near Belsen about 30 km to the northwest.
