The main issue concerning accuracy of the Mini-14 is it's stock barrel. There are aftermarket companies that produce supperior barrels for this rifle than the factory barrel, and the Mini-14 can be made to be more accurate than an out-of-the-box AR-15. The Mini-14 has kept a substantial following due mainly to the robustness of it's design.
