Villagers are an Irish indie folk band and the musical project of the sole long-term member, Conor J O'Brien who is a singer-songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. [ citation needed ] . {Awayland} is the second studio album by Irish indie folk band Villagers, released on 11 January 2013 on Domino Records. [1] Co-produced by band members Conor O'Brien and Tommy McLaughlin, the album was preceded by the single, "Nothing Arrived". Like its predecessor, Becoming a Jackal (2010), the album has been nominated for the Mercury Prize.
On 12 June 2018, the band announced the release of their new album, along with the single "A Trick Of The Light". [2] The second single "Fool" was released on 20 August 2018. [3] The third single "Again" was released on 10 September 2018. [4]
Becoming a Jackal is the debut album by the Irish rock group Villagers. In 2010 it was nominated for the Mercury Prize . [ 1 ] Vinyl editions of the album contain 2 discs, with tracks on the first three sides and an etching on the fourth.
The album was received positively by music critics, and currently holds a score of 76 on review aggregator website Metacritic.
