Key Colony Beach is located at (24.724515, –81.017928 Most of the city is located on an island formerly known as Shelter Key; a small part of the city is on Fat Deer Key, where the Sadowski Causeway, the only road entering the city, connects to U.S. 1 (the Overseas Highway) and the city of Marathon, on the east side of the city.
Monroe County is the southernmost county of the state of Florida. [1] As of the 2020 census, the population was 82,874. [2] Its county seat is Key West. [3] Monroe County includes the islands of the Florida Keys and comprises the Key West-Key Largo Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The largest and easternmost one is 90% full of vegetation, the second largest one is just southwest and has more of a beach. The third one is an area of rocks always above water just west of the second island. The fourth "island" is an outcropping of rocks and sand visible at low tide just south of the largest island.

Anne's Beach features a shallow swimming area, covered picnic tables, boardwalk and bathroom facilities. This Keys Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean, but there is almost no wave action, due to the wide expanse of shallow water typical for Florida Keys beaches. Typical of Anne's Beach is the shallow and warm to very warm waters all year around.
