The school is a T-shaped brick structure 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 stories high, with fifteen bays across its main facade and a raised center entrance. When built it first served as the town's high school. In 1936, a new high school was constructed, and this building was then used strictly as an elementary school until it was closed in 1995.
